Developing Belief Network Kickoff Meeting
Thursday, November 12, 2020 and Friday, November 13, 2020
Attendance by Research Team PIs is required; attendance by co-PIs, the Advisory Board, or other affiliates is welcome and encouraged, but optional. Here is a brief overview; we will follow up via email with the event registration link, Zoom links and a more detailed schedule.
Please plan on the following times for Thursday, November 12 and Friday, November 13. We have shortened the time commitment and set the schedule to be as accommodating as possible for the global nature of this group. Apologies for inconvenient times. We’ll rotate who is most inconvenienced as we proceed as a collaborative.

Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei
The goal of this workshop is to get to know each other and begin discussions of our collaborative research goals. To that end, we ask PIs to prepare to share/discuss 3 main topics:
10-minute introduction to the research team, and the research questions that bring you together and connect you to the Developing Belief Network.
10-minute description of your research sites & associated religious/supernatural beliefs to which children are exposed. Pictures encouraged!
Preliminary thoughts on why your research site is a good place to study our primary research questions (https://www.developingbelief.com/research) and more broadly the diversity of religious & supernatural thinking to facilitate collaborative research discussions. No need for formal preparation here, we will ask you to share in the context of informal breakout discussions.
